First aid training for kids.
A practical, engaging first aid programme that helps you teach first aid with confidence, without adding to staff workload.
Mini Heroes is a ready-to-use first aid programme designed for primary schools, early years settings and children’s groups.
It helps children learn how to help – calmly, safely and without fear.

The story behind Mini Heroes
Primary schools have been required to teach first aid since 2020.
But here’s the reality…
Teachers aren’t first aid experts.
They worry about teaching it wrong.
They’re stretched, short on time, and overloaded with planning.
And while free resources exist, most are:
-
Light on practical skills
-
Hard to turn into real lessons
-
And still add to teacher workload
Mini Heroes was created to change that.
Built by experienced educators and first aid professionals, Mini Heroes gives schools a press-play, confidence-boosting way to teach first aid properly while giving children the skills to help others when it matters.

What is Mini Heroes?
Mini Heroes is a complete first aid curriculum for children aged 4–11, covering:
-
EYFS (ages 3–5): Helping others & calling for help
-
Key Stage 1 (ages 5–7): Safety awareness & emergency calls
-
Key Stage 2 (ages 7–11):
-
All DfE statutory requirements
-
Plus asthma, allergies, bleeding, head injuries, choking, bites & stings
-
Bonus CPR session for Upper KS2 (to exceed expectations)
-
How’s it delivered?
Every session follows a simple, proven structure:
Watch → Discuss → Do
🎬 Demonstrations by expert trainers
💬 Guided discussion and questions built into the slides
🧠 Hands-on role play using physical resources
Children learn through story, practise safely, and leave feeling confident — not scared.

Don’t just take our word for it…

You might be wondering…
Does this meet the government (DfE) and OFSTED requirements?
Yes, and it exceeds them. It covers every statutory requirement for Key Stage 2 as well as all of the suggested teaching from the DFE training module (Emergency Calls, Head Injuries, etc.) but also includes Key Stage 1 and EYFS learning and a bonus CPR module, which is usually only taught in Secondary schools.
Do staff need to be first aid trained?
No. The course is “Video-Led.” Your role is to facilitate. You move through the clearly sequenced slides, all questioning is planned into the sides, along with the answers. Press play on the video section and our expert trainers demonstrate the skills on screen. You then guide the children through the practical activities using our detailed session plans.
What ages is it suitable for?
Mini Heroes supports children aged 4–11, with sessions designed for Early Years, KS1 and KS2.
Will this add to staff workload?
No. Sessions are fully prepared and ready to use, removing the need for planning or subject research.
Not a school? You’re still in the right place
Mini Heroes is also used successfully in community and youth settings.
While it aligns with what schools are asked to teach, the skills are universal, and the structure works wherever children come together to learn and grow.
