‘58% of colleges are not compliant with HSE First Aid Training’ recent studies show.

It’s a worrying statement, isn’t it?

Thanks for taking the time today to get up to date with the new compliance standards for First Aid Training.

It’s really common for people to get into a bit of a boggle with all the information out there about compliance, the HSE, levels of courses and awarding organisations.

In 2015 the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) withdrew their responsibilities of approving first aid training organisations. They gave employers several different routes to make sure that first aid training they use is suitable.

This change did leave some people confused at the time which has led to issues with:

  • Out of date knowledge and guess work
  • Lack of confidence in the subject
  • Not in line or up to date with current regulations (such as HSE The UK Resuscitation Council and Skills For Health Assessment Principles)
  • Current course content not meeting statutory requirements

Therefore, students are being taught incorrect information. This leaves Colleges vulnerable to claims and dispute. This is all easily avoidable.

Let's Make Our College Compliant

In your working environment where a stressful schedule is the norm, we want to make your life easier.

We are hosting a webinar to update you on your compliance and First Aid training. We want to make sure that you are confidently compliant, easily adhere to new standards, and meet those high Ofsted expectations, all while in a relaxed environment outside of the classroom. Phew.

This webinar is ideal for:

  • New or existing First Aid Trainers
  • Those in charge of First Aid curriculum
  • Those who teach First Aid as part of another course (ie Health and Social Care teachers)
  • Colleges who currently outsource First Aid training, but are interested in managing this in house

So, what’s the catch?

At SkillBase First Aid, it’s our mission to give back and make sure that those already First Aid trained are up to date with their practice, and following new guidelines. This is not an opportunity to sell to you, we will not bombard you with our services, we are just so conscious that recent surveys show such huge numbers of out of date and inefficient training in colleges, and we know that this could easily be resolved in a quick refresher workshop.

You’ll also have the opportunity to learn all about our National First Aid Instructor Network (which is free to join) but don’t worry, there is no pressure or obligation to join. We will make sure that you leave with all the information you need in order to ensure your college’s compliance. And, if you would like the extra support, you know where to find it in the future.

Just so you know… we hate SPAM as much as you do! We’ll send you this information, & a short series of follow-up emails with useful info too. You can opt-out of our emails at anytime.  Your privacy & trust is super important to us – you can find out more about how we use your data in our privacy policy
