This nationally recognised qualification is ideal for anyone looking to teach or train adults in the workplace or classroom. It’s particularly suited to those starting out in adult education or delivering vocational training.

Delivered over two engaging face-to-face days at our fantastic training centre in Desford (Leicestershire), the course provides the essential knowledge and confidence to begin delivering high-quality training.

As part of the qualification, you’ll complete short written assignments with full support and guidance. You’ll also take part in a short micro-teach assessment, with a dedicated tutorial session before and after to help you prepare and reflect.

This course is ideal for those attending our First Aid Instructor: Principles & Practice (Train the Trainer) course.

It works brilliantly as a standalone qualification or as part of your journey to becoming a confident and capable trainer. We deliver the course in a clear, supportive way giving you time and space to absorb everything without feeling overwhelmed.

We'll cover

You’ll build a solid foundation in teaching and training with topics such as:

  • Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training (3 credits)
  • Using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training (6 credits)
  • Understanding the principles and practices of assessment (3 credits)

You’ll also complete a short micro-teach session, with full guidance before and after the assessment to help you prepare, reflect and develop.

  • This qualification has replaced the PTTLS course since August 2014
  • The course is delivered face-to-face over two days at our flagship training centre in Desford, Leicestershire
  • You’ll get access to a digital bookshelf with professionally written materials to support your learning
  • A friendly, experienced assessor will guide you throughout the qualification
  • You’ll complete short written assignments and a micro-teach assessment with full support
  • This is a self-paced course so you can work it around any commitments you may have. Some delegates complete in as quickly as a few weeks, whereas others spread the work over the maximum 12 month allowed period.
  • This course is priced at £299 + VAT
