What’s Changing? (Goodbye, Dual-System!)

We are making some behind-the-scenes changes to clear up checkout confusion, remove extra steps, and help everyone manage stock better. As an Associate trainer, you are an essential part of our team, and our mission is to ensure you have the best possible support so you can focus on what you do best.

Previously, ordering resource packs on the Hub required navigating a confusing dual-system, forcing you to manually sort between “free” packs for SkillBase courses and “paid” packs for your own independent courses.

We are completely retiring that clunky process.

So, moving forward from today (08/06/26):

One Unified Process: You no longer need to guess or select different packs based on who the course is for. You will order your resources through a single, simple checkout journey.

Automated Back-End Credits: While you will now buy all of your packs upfront, SkillBase fully credits you back for the ones you use on our courses. To keep things simple our team will check your course certificates and automatically create a Credit Note on our accounting system. This credit will lower what you owe on your current bills, or we can use it to pay you back on the training invoices you send to us.

Mastering Your Inventory & Shipping

This new workflow is a fantastic opportunity for us all to reduce wasted course resources and manage stock smarter.

Be a Bulk-Ordering Hero: While standard weight-based shipping applies, shipping remains completely free for all orders over £250. We highly encourage bulk ordering to eliminate postage costs entirely.

Handling Unused Stock: Ideally, we love to see trainers hold onto unused stock for their next course. If your next course is booked through us, you’ll get the automated credit; if it’s an independent one, the amount remains payable. However, if you have leftover stock from a specific course booked with us that you rarely run and won’t use anytime soon, you can reach out to us to arrange a return.

Note: You will need to pay for the return postage. Leftover packs are only eligible for return if they were ordered for a course we have booked you for.

Updates to Extra Items and Postage Costs

As part of cleaning up our pack contents, lung bags will no longer be included for free. We introduced free lung bags during COVID to help support the increased hygiene requirements and continued providing them long after these measures eased. Unfortunately, we’re no longer able to maintain this, so moving forward, you will need to buy your own lung bags when you need them.

Also, we cannot give direct refunds or credits for the postage you pay when ordering packs. This is because orders often have mixed packs (some for us and some for you), and shipping is based on weight.

We recently increased our trainer pay rates and delivery fees at the beginning of the year to help cover these small extra costs. Ordering in bulk over £250 is still the best way to avoid shipping fees completely.

Boosting Your Store Credits

Don’t forget that we have officially relaunched our Delegate Discount Cards and a brand-new Affiliate Scheme. This is a massive opportunity for you to easily earn extra store credits, which you can use to cover the cost of your consumables and independent resource stock!
